My Seestarrrr!

June 8, 1990 was a significant day for me... It was the day God made sure I wasn't my Dad's only little princes... (or tomato, as he liked to call us). But it was also the day He gave me one of my best-friendsMy Sister!

Happy Birthday, Britty!

The Graduate

We love the Graduate! No really, we do! (:
Trevor is officially a high school graduate! We attended his graduation this weekend. His ceremony was at Moody Gardens in Galveston. Let me tell you, that was a dream location during Memorial Day Weekend. Ughhh! But making up for the ridiculous traffic, his graduation went really, really fast! Yay!
We're super proud of Trevor! Now he's off to A&M through the Blinn Program! Whoop! Way to go you little Aggie you :)

Rockin' GOOD BUSINESS!

Have I mentioned that I'm in Business?
I have been making jewelry with one of my teaching co-workers Lauren Henke. At first this started out to be a little hobby to keep us occupied and to stop us from obsessing about our school work - but here lately it has turned into it's own full-fledged affair. Business is steady, which is a nice change of pace. We've added to our business too - originally we were only doing jewelry - now we're selling some home decor, some clothing and bags. I am excited to see where this little venture will take me :)

We are on Facebook at Rockin'Spade -- Be our FAN!

Happy Birthday to me!!!! (early)

I've been begging and pleading with John to get me a TOY Australian Shepard.... and he FINALLY found one in Stephenville! I was sooooo excited to get this early birthday present :)

So, Announcing the newest member of our family

PEARL

She will stay tiny. She is supposed to be under 13" tall. Already she is definitely my dog - she plays when I want to play and she sleeps when I want to sleep. Can't get much better than that!

Roping Fever!!!

A recent visit to Stephenville, TX made me realize how much I have roping fever... We didn't attend a roping when we were there - but we saw a lot of the "old crew"... Okay, Kain Garcia & Steve Warnock constitute old crew, haha. Let me have my moment! Anyhow, we always had the best adventures with Steve when we all lived in Pendleton -- I remembered I had this picture of us with Steve during our First EVER roping. Of course, I don't mean my Dad's "Rockin'Spade Ropings" I am talking about my first roping produced by just John and I... It was called "The Turkey Roping". Simple enough - the winners won turkeys and fleece jackets... The roping was the weekend before Thanksgiving. I remember Steve saying, "A turkey? What am I going to do with a turkey?" haha!
I loved visiting Stephenville... It was sort of like a Northwest Reunion since Kain Garcia, Steve Warnock and Brett McDowell all live there. Makes home feel not quite so far away! But it also made me wish we were back home on an alkali arena, roping a few corriente steers :)

Pretty in a Tutu

I recruited two of the most beautiful tutu models I could find. I was ecstatic to dress Hallie and Emma in tutu's and take a few pictures of them. They are both little Princesses, so this was right up their alley to be able to model :)

I love you, more!!!

"I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday and days before that too. I think of you in silence and often speak your name. All I have are memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, for which I'll never part - God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart."

It seems like yesterday that we had Sheri Kaye on this Earth with us. I have wanted to call her a million times to ask her a recipe or share some sort of news with her. I miss her everyday - her guidance, her mother-in-law nagging, her wisdom, her faith, her laughter and her love! She was a Mother to me, she was a best-friend! Happy Birthday, Mom! I love you, more...
